Pelco’s Esprit ™ ES3012 Series environmental positioning
system integrates a pan & tilt, camera enclosure, and receiver/driver
into one convenient, easy to install, and inexpensive package. The system
combines superior aesthetics with internal cabling, and it is able to
attach to mounts quickly, requiring no special tools. As an option,
a camera and lens package can be factory installed. The system is pre-wired
for power input, camera and lens, heater, and window defroster functions.
All user wiring connections are made at the base of the unit during
installation, making the job simple and convenient. Its all aluminum
construction makes it ideal for either indoor or outdoor applications.
The system uses 24 VAC to operate and will accept either
a 120 VAC or 230 VAC power source. It has an operating temperature range
of -40° to 140°F (-40° to 60°C) and the entire unit can de-ice and be
operational in two hours from a temperature of -13°F (-25°C). Pan and
Tilt The standard pan and tilt speeds are variable with maximums of
40 degrees per second in pan mode and 20 degrees per second in tilt
while sustaining 90 mph winds. The pan range is 360 degrees (con-tinuous)
while the tilt range is +40 to -90 degrees from horizontal. There are
64 preset positions with a preset accuracy of one-quarter degree and
electronic limit stops; both features are programmable through system
software. Pan preset and turbo speeds are 100 degrees per second in
wind speeds of 50 mph and 60 degrees per second in 90 mph winds. Tilt
preset speed is 30 degrees per second.
The integrated receiver/driver, contained within the
pan and tilt, interfaces with Pelco controls, using the Coaxitron ®
protocol, P protocol, and D protocol. Esprit ™ Environmental Enclosure
Constructed of aluminum for strength and durability, the enclosure has
a front-hinged lid that opens from the rear. A spring allows the lid
to remain stable when opened, thus allowing convenient access to the
camera and lens. The lid, when closed, is secured to the enclosure body
with one stainless steel link-lock latch that can be locked with a padlock
(not supplied). Factory installed features are built into every model,
consisting of a heater, window defroster, sun shroud, and an insulation
blanket. Mounting accessories included are either the EPA Esprit ™ Pedestal
Adapter Plate or the EWM Esprit ™ Wall Mount. The EPM Pole Mount Adapter
may be ordered separately.
The system can be delivered from the factory with either
a standard- or high-resolution color or monochrome camera and lens of
your choice (ImagePak ® ). You may select a system with no optics package
that is capable of housing a 24 VAC camera and lens combination up to
10.5 inches (26.67) in length.
